When it came time to really start rating and reviewing different pizzas, we ran into a bit of a dilemma.
What’s the best way to “rate” pizzas? A 10-point scale? How do you tell the difference between a pizza rated a “9” and a pizza rated an “8” ? What are the chances of ever using a “1” rating? What kind of pizza concoction would warrant a rating of “1”, and wouldn’t we have to eat it to declare it as such?
Instead of assigning arbitrary numbers across categories, our goal is to give you two things with each review:
1. We want you to know what to expect if you’re going to spend your hard-earned money on some pizza.
2. We want to treat you like our friends, and offer the best recommendations we can.
BONUS ITEM: If you’re looking for something very specific, we want to help you find it!
Our Pizza Verdict:
When we go to a new place, we usually try a house specialty pizza if we can, and also a “supreme” style pizza to keep things consistent.
Here’s how our Verdict breaks down:
1 — Will never visit again AND would actively advise others against visiting
2 — Won’t visit again
3 — No strong feeling – may visit again if it’s convenient
4 — Definitely will visit again in the future
5 — Will go out of my way to visit again AND encourage others to do so as well
